Jackie began yoga by watching Bryan Kest Power Yoga DVDs in 2005. While she will always be grateful for the inspiration and love of the physical practice those videos instilled, in-class yoga experiences were far more profound. After living in Durango and subsequently moving to the Front Range, Jackie took the leap and got her 200 hour yoga teaching certificate in 2015. Jackie's first yoga-love was power yoga but she has since discovered how slower, more restorative practices challenge the mind as well as the body. She enjoys running, hiking, reading, and sharing her practice with those looking for a way to become more present in their bodies- both on and off the mat.
